RIP Interior Divine - 

Its the End of an Era

What do you do when you start to feel that your brand no longer reflects the evolution of your business and personal goals? As our vision and goals continue to expand, I realised that our brand needed to evolve as well.

I’ll be really transparent with you.

Right now? MY BRAND KIND OF FEELS LIKE I’m still getting around in the same outfit I wore when I FIRST STARTED THE BUSINESS BACK IN 2011 while I was a student studying interior design at QUT.

But the reality is, I have PERSONALLY CHANGED so much in the PAST 12 YEARS.

As with life and business, there are UPS AND DOWNS.

PERSONALLY, I’m now a mum but there have also been deaths, more births, heart attacks and cancer scares in the family. 

And throughout all this, you still pick yourself up and carry on no matter how hard it has been.

PROFESSIONALLY, I am the ONLY Toowoomba Real Estate Agent + Property Styling Company to win not one, BUT SEVEN highly prestigious HIA (Housing Industry Association) Property Styling Awards (2017, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023) and TWO coveted International Home Staging Awards (2021), plus an International Home Staging Judge (2022). 

I don't take the title "above" lightly. It's an honour that only two people can state their claim too. Even to announce it now feels a little odd. But it does MAKE ME REALISE HOW FAR I HAVE COME and IT'S TIME I CAME OUT AND OWNED IT. 

I still remember the day when it was announced that I won two (2) x International Awards. Imagine saying to your daughter you are one of the BEST IN THE WORLD. Obviously, my daughter was proud and announced it to everyone that would listen. And I remember my brother saying to my 4-year-old daughter at the time, “your mum worked really hard for that, she practised and practised and the #ONETHING SHE DID WAS NEVER GAVE UP. It was at that exact point I realised how far I had come and the effort it took to get there and of course, I quietly balled my eyes out. 

The following year I was asked to be a Judge. It was something that honestly blew my mind. As uncomfortable as this might be to share all this, I want you to know that you're in good hands when you hire me because the real reason behind it is that I GIVE A DAM WHEN I AM DEALING WITH A CLIENTS BIGGEST ASSET. 

As you can see (like all of us) so much has happened and you start to question whether your path is still aligned with the one you set out and forged for yourself all those years ago.

You grow.

You learn.

You change.

Running a business, it's the biggest lesson in personal development that you will EVER undertake.

At the end of the day, All I have ever really wanted in my business is the freedom and choice TO DO WHAT I LOVE AND AM PASSIONATE ABOUT.

And that is the #ONETHING THAT HASN’T CHANGED and the reason I originally started the business in the first place;

“IS TO HELP CLIENTS; REVEAL THEIR PROPERTIES' TRUE POTENTIAL BY MAKING THEIR PROPERTY LOOK BETTER, SO THEY CAN MAXIMISE THE VALUE WHEN IT COMES TIME TO SELL. “

But see the reality is,

I want to do MORE,

help MORE PEOPLE

help them make MORE $$$$.

In the hope that they AVOID UNDERSELLING THEIR BIGGEST ASSET!!!

And this will all be revealed, but thankfully we live in a world where we have the freedom and choice to take risks and EVOLVE.

I’m READY TO STEP INTO BIGGER SHOES AND NEW CHALLENGES that are out of my comfort zone.

And, if I’m really honest?

I feel held hostage by an identity that doesn’t fit anymore. The new name better reflects what we do and what we stand for.

And so, THIS IS THE YEAR it's time to finally sunset this little brand that has given me so much.

DRUM ROLL PLEASE

If you already haven’t gathered by the cover banner, as of 1st March 2023  Interior Divine Property Styling will now be operating under a new name, SPRUCE PROPERTY CO.

As the name suggests that is all we do;

SPRUCE 

/pronounce /spruːs/

[verb] make something look better - neat, smart, or trim

[adjective] being or in accordance with current social fashions

RIP Interior Divine Property Styling 

Now while it's still February, I wanted to take this opportunity to CELEBRATE  and THANK PAST CLIENTS for the support I have received over the years and for helping me grow and evolve.

Here's to the next stage of this business.
